I think Tao's father wanted him to be eaten this is just a guess, I think Volt may be his father because he is mean to him and wants him to leave to go to the mountain people.
ReplyDeleteWhen Kala "accidentally shares" some information about his father, his father sounds really harsh and cruel. I think that Tao's father is Volt because Kala said that Tao's father thought that since Tao had a crippled foot, he would be a curse to the clan. When Tao's mother died, his father left him for the hyenas, but luckily Kala saved him and raised him as his own.

1. The information that Kala accidentally told Tao was that his father told that he was an evil curse.
Kala "accidentally shares" that Tao's father ordered that he be left to die between the boulders, therefore he has to be a leader. I think Tao's father is Volt, because Volt is superstitious and a leader. Also, Volt holds a grudge against Tao, maybe because Tao was saved against his instruction.

ReplyDeleteWhat Kala "accidentally" shared about Tao's parents is they are the reason the Slough is a forbidden place. The person I think is Tao's dad is Volt because he strongly dislikes Tao and wanted to die when he sent Tao for the rabbit.
ReplyDelete1. I think when Kala said his dreams are not true, I sort of thought that Tao’s father was a regular person. But then when she started saying that it’s a secret I got suspicious and thinking if she’s lying. It’s hard to tell but I think his dad is Garth.

Kala accidently told Tao that his father was a terrible person. I think Volt might be Tao’s father and he hates Tao because he is ashamed of Tao.

ReplyDelete2. I think that Tao’s father may be Volt. Volt might not have wished to take claim to Tao because when he was a boy he was weak and scrawny. That may also be the reason for Volt rudely treating Tao when he forgot to bring back the rabbits from the meadow.
Kala accidentally said that his father had cursed him. Based on that, I think Volt is his father because he is the only one who dislikes Tao.

The information that she shared was that his mother wouldn’t let Tao get eaten by the hyenas because he was weak and crippled, that everyday his mother would rock him back and forth, that all through the snow she kept him alive during the winter, and that when she died Tao’s father ordered that Tao be left to die among the boulders.

She said that after his mother died, his dad ordered that he was to be left to die among the boulders, and that she wouldn’t leave him with the man who was his father, but other people called him an evil spirit. But one thing Kala did not share, was his name. She refused to say his name.

Kala accidentally says that his dad ordered that he should be left alone to die. I think Tao’s dad was the leader of their tribe because he was giving orders and only leaders can do that. Also, if he was a normal tribe member Kala wouldn’t mind talking about him, but she does mind. Over all I think his dad was the tribe leader, but did something bad.

The information that Kala accidentally shared is that Tao's father is a terrible man. I believe that the terrible man is not Volt because Tao's father, as Kala said, is not a chief. I believe that he is ether dead or a hunter.
What Kala “accidentally” shares is that it was so terrible that she could not even share his name. She did share that when Tao’s mother died, Tao’s father ordered him to be left in the boulders and eaten by the hyenas. Thankfully, Kala took him in and raised him as her own. She also shared that he called Tao an evil curse because he had a crippled food and was not left for the hyenas. I think that Tao’s father might be Volt because always believes in evil spirits. The information Kala "accidentally shared" was that his father was an evil curse. I agree with my other classmates. Tao's father tried to feed him to the hyenas because he was a defected child. So, I believe Volt is Tao's father because he hates him and tried to kill him by sending him off to get the bunny hoping he'd die. Volt also is harsh to Tao more than the other kids in the clan. I also think Volt is Tao's father because he is randomly on the character study while Garth
is seen just as much as Volt is in the book. And also because we talk about Volt curiously a lot in class.
Kala tells Tao that he is too young and that he does not need to know anything about his parents yet. She also says that it does not matter if he knows about his parents right now, but Tao thinks differently. He thinks that he should know about his parents because he says that he is older, and he also says that it does matter if he knows about his parents. Tao also really wants to know about his parents because Kala never told him anything, and he wants to know if he was born of a leader, or a hunter, so that he might be able to become a Chosen One some day.

I think his father might be Volt because when Kala said that his father thought that Tao coming to the village was bad. Also because he acts very mean to Tao which might be because he thinks of him as an evil curse.

I think Tao's father is Volt because he seems to dislike Tao, and he seems like he wouldn't want anyone to know that he was Tao's father, especially because of Tao's deformed foot. If people knew, he could be cast out of the clan, accused of doing something taboo, or overthrown from his position of leader because he weakened the blood lines, and had a deformed child.
