Apparently I am the first on the website and I don't see any other blogs. So I can't comment on someone's post if nobody's blog is up. I don't have time to wait for a blog because I am very busy today.

    Comment:
    On chapter 4

I disagree with Zack G when he says that Tao's dad is an evil spirit because in the some other text, it said that he was a teerrible MAN and an evil spirit is just something that the tribe believed in.

  30. I'm commenting on Winston's comment for chapter 4. I don't think that Garth would be Tao's father because Garth is fairly nice to Tao, and Kala said that Tao's father thought that Tao was evil, since he was a disabled infant. If Tao's father thought that Tao was an evil sign, Whenever Tao's father saw Tao he would have been mad or scared, like Volt.I think that Volt is actually his father because Volt is unfair and mean torward Tao.

  31. The artistic “turning point” in this chapter is when Tao decides to live in a cave by himself so that he can make images without anyone seeing him. It is also when Tao draws the perfect image of Ram, his wolf dog friend. He had been trying to draw horses, but they all didn’t look good, so he decide to draw Ram since Ram was right there next to Tao. Tao also learns that he is better at drawing things when they are near him, rather than having to recollect the image from his memory.

The shaman,Graybeard, will learn that he has been making images without being a chosen one. He has gone against many taboos but this one may offend Graybeard, since he is an image maker.

I would tell Tao that he must be very careful about the images and not point them out to Graybeard or he will notice, if Tao does not show the images then Graybeard may not notice them.

  56. I disagree with Colin C's assumption that Tao's artistic turning point is when he (and I quote) "...goes to live in his cave and paints animals and things that he sees. Also when he lives in the cave and hunts for his own food."
Ahhhh! This is not what I think the turning point is at all!First of all, Tao doesn't LIVE in the cave. He is in there to draw and paint!
Second of all, he doesn't hunt for his OWN food, he finds food and brings it back to the clan!
Finally, the artistic turning point is when he uses the clay and the charcoal to draw a beautiful drawing of Ram.
    Warmest regards,

  69. The artistic "turning point" is when Tao finds a cave to live in partially. Also, his cave is filled with walls that are mostly flat so he can draw freely, which he couldn't do before. I think Tao likes this arrangement because he used to have to do what was told and draw in secret. But now, he can live life as he wants it to be. In the cave, there is no one to tell him what to do or how to act. Another good thing is that he can hang out with Ram, his wolf dog. Before, he had to be careful where he was with Ram because wolf dogs were taboo. Now, he can be with Ram as much as he wants in his cave. Maggie M. :)
